Taking pictures underwater never looked this good, MSRP $1269.00

The creation of the Aqua View Finder hailed in a new era for creatives as the Aqua View Finder once and for all solved the problem of using small digital SLR finders underwater.

With its quality coated glass elements this finder delivers a 100% viewing area, allowing photographers to see a crisp, bright and sharp image from corner to corner while Its hard-anodized aluminum body allows the finder to be used to depths of up to 100m (300 ft).

All Aquatica housings since 2008 are designed to accept the new Aqua View Finder, which can be easily installed and removed by the user in a mere 30 seconds. Removal of the finder from the housing is advised for travel and for long-term storage.

An Initial diopter adjustment is quick and straightforward and guarantees a sharp image for each individual’s eyesight. No tools are required. The user may also opt to simply adjust the diopter +/- setting on the DSLR’s built finder instead.

What was initially suggested as an optional add-on to a professional housing system, is now being hailed by all its users as a must have tool.

“The Aqua View Finder is an indispensable tool in my quest to obtain the professional images I am expected to deliver.”

Housing MSRP: U$1,420.00 (system & kit (with grip & arm) pricing available)

The Aquatica AN-5 housing is designed for the Sony NEX-5 camera, with this camera Sony has pushed the boundaries again, yielding the punch of the DSLR sensor and the size of a compact camera, this flexible camera with its interchangeable lens and after market accessories will fill the needs of many underwater photographer seeking a high level of imaging performance in an easy to pack travel system.

The NEX-5 is a great camera for underwater imaging; it provides focusing in both still and video and also has access to a large selection of Sony DSLR ALPHA lenses to suit your needs.

As for the housing, 28 years of designing and constructing underwater housings was the starting block on which we built this Aquatica AN-5 housing, while sporting a state of the art high tech look it nonetheless features time proven methods of construction and sound optical principles. We, as usual, only use the highest grade of corrosion resistant materials for its construction and is has been designed and built by an experienced team at our Canadian based headquarter, a country know for the ruggedness of its diving condition. The housing shell is anodized and powder coated to a smooth finish that will resist years of extensive use, all controls are double sealed in order to face the 300ft/90 meter depth rating assign to this housing, every shaft and push button is manufactured to a mirror smooth surface and is made of the finest grade stainless steel, Montreal is the third largest aeronautically industrialized city in the world, this strategically give us access to the best raw tools available on this planet. Bottom line is; if the material used is good enough to trust your life to it, then it’s good enough to protect your camera from the harsh environment it will be faced with.

Special care has been taken to locate every control at their best possible positions and the basic layout of the camera has been reproduced externally to retain the visual comfort of not having to search for relocated controls. Even with the extremely small size of this housing, AQUATICA has managed to built in dual optical strobe connectors, this features is not an optional accessory and is included in the Aquatica AN5housing price, aside from assuring a sure fire every time, it maintains the housings at its original compact size and it is unlikely to come loose, be lost or forgotten like an external adapter would.

To accommodate the Sony Nex-5 lenses a series of compact port were designed for its range of optics as well as an adapter that will allow the mounting of our current line of ports, this will be appreciated in light of the extended range lenses now available via the various camera mount adapters available for this already popular camera.

And finally given the absence of a regular view finder our design staff integrated a 15 degree of angle to the rear LCD screen; this was done to give the user a much more comfortable position for viewing in diving conditions.

The recommended servicing procedures of the products are outlined in the manuals supplied with the product. The outside of the housings and the accessories should be rinsed in fresh water after every dive. The handles should be removed after use otherwise if they remain attached to the housing for any length of time they may bind to the housing and be extremely difficult to remove. We suggest that the main O rings be lubricated regularly and all of the O rings be checked annually.

Ultimate creative effects with subtle light balance, starting at $ 639.95

The YS-110α introduces numerous new exciting functions, opening a whole new digital generation. For example, by connecting it to digital cameras with pre-flash function using a fiber-optic cable, the YS-110α can be used in the fully automatic DS-TTL adjustment mode (Digital Slave TTL). Enjoy complete creative control – when you want absolute control over fine light adjustments, you can use a main strobe in DS-TTL mode and a secondary strobe in manual mode or you can set up an advanced lighting system using two strobes in DS-TTL mode. The DS-TTL adjustment function is also available using the light level control dial for fine control of the light amount when taking pictures in DS-TTL mode. You can also choose from 13 levels of manual controls when you do not want to leave the light adjustment up to the camera. The flat, round, 105° beam angle (with diffuser), achieved by the balanced positioning of the 3 flash tubes, and the power of a Guide Number 22 are examples of the excellent performance of the strobe that is sure to satisfy even the most demanding professionals.
